The way we move
has a profound impact on how we feel. I am a movement specialist
who teaches my clients to become aware of and adjust their movement
patterns to reduce pain and bring their bodies into balance. I began
my work in this area almost seven years ago as a certified
professional trainer, but became intrigued by how even small
movement problems can add up to great pain later. With a background
in personal training, I’m able to assess problems quickly and
develop an individualized training program that suits your specific
needs. Above all, I understand the need to create a program that
works with your lifestyle because even the best program, if never
done, does no good.
If your
vision of working out is a “Drop and give me ten!” approach, you may
be surprised by my style. My experience has taught me that injuries
are more likely to occur when people move too quickly to be able to
pay attention to what their bodies are telling them. Using tools from
yoga, martial arts, pilates, and influenced by practices such as
Feldenkrais and physical therapy, I will help you increase your
strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, coordination and overall
energy levels.
